KK presents at OWASP Conference
Our Principal Consultant, K. K. Mookhey will be conducting a half-day workshop at the OWASP India Application Security Conference at Delhi on August 21st 2008. The workshop will be on Practical Web Application Assessment, covering the OWASP Top Ten, and the use of open-source tools to assess these vulnerabilities in web applications. The concepts will be illustrated with real-world case studies of results found during actual tests done by the pen-tests teams at NII.
Banktech Congress, Mumbai, May 2006
NII participated in the BankTech Congress held at Mumbai on 25 - 26 May, 2006. Our founder, K. K. Mookhey spoke on Financial Frauds - The View from the trenches. He narrated real-life incidents that we have handled for clients. He also elaborated on our approach, tools and techniques used, and suggested controls for avoiding financial crimes.

Networld+Interop, Las Vegas 2005
NII's Chief Technology Officer, K.K. Mookhey will be speaking at this year's Networld+Interop conference to be held in Las Vegas between the 1st-6th of May 2005. NetWorld+Interop is the most comprehensive IT infrastructure event in existence and is the only event to address today's challenges and opportunities with a systems-wide approach by focusing every aspect of the event around six of the most vital technology trends existing today. One of these is of course, Information Security.
Detection and Evasion of Web Application Attacks
The presentation given by our Chief Technology Officer, K K Mookhey at Blackhat in July 2004 on detection techniques for common web application attacks, and common evasion methods. It covered both signature as well as anomaly-based detection methods.
Computer Forensics
We were invited to present on the topic of "Computer Forensics" at a conference on Fraud Management organized by Marcus Evans at Mumbai Taj Land's End on 28th May 2004. This presentation covers the common security scams perpetrated against large corporations, forensics tools and techniques, and some case studies.
Linux Security and Controls
We were invited by the ISACA Mumbai chapter to present on "Linux Security and Controls". This presentation was based on our then to-be-released book on the same subject being written for the ISACA Research Board, USA.
